Authentic Indian Food

  • 5 star review  I would recommend Manjus. The food was mostly delicious although one or two dishes could've done with slightly more depth of flavour. Also the chilli paneer was very hot (not complaining, just a warning!). Highlights were the spinach/onion bhaji and the caramelised carrot dessert, both were superb.

  • 5 star review  Absolutely incredible! I had chosen Manjus for dinner with my friend because of the reviews on here. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect and was quite overwhelmed by the quality and the presentation of the food. It almost felt like fine dining restaurant. Honestly, the food is just amazing! The wine is good too! It's family run and everyone is super nice. It just shows, you don't have to spend a lot of money for an exquisite dining experience. Definitely the best Indian food I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot!).

You absolutely *must* call and book in advance. 1st it's a small restaurant 2nd they have awkward opening times 3rd it's the best food in this category you can get in Brighton. Do NOT turn up without booking to avoid disappointment! The food is amazing. It's custom to order platters to share. Everything is homemade by the lovely mother and served with fresh greens. Some is a bit spicy but not overwhelming. Deserts was the only dish that didn't float my boat but everything else is exceptionally good!!!

  • 5 star review  Felt so at home here. The food tasted like it was cooked with love. Very attentive and friendly service - had a good chat with the waiter/part owner, who gave us the history of the restaurant and his legend mum.

  • 5 star review  Had a wonderful evening at Manju's. Everything from the professional but friendly service to the absolutely delicious small plates was perfect. A warming, family run place with food to die for. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend. Great value for money also.

  • 5 star review  Amazing Indian vegetarian restaurant. I would recommend going as a group of 4 and then you can try one of everything on the menu, however you will be very full afterwards. They brought each dish us one by one and explained the food to us. All of it was very delicious. We were too full for dessert but it did look fantastic.

  • 5 star review  Manjus is in my opinion the best Indian food I have ever had, and I've been to most of the top Indian restaurants. Not only is the food incredible, the service by the family that run it are the friendliest and most attentive. Couldn't recommend more.

  • 5 star review  Hard to get a rez at Manju’s and it’s clear why. Brighton has a wide array of great Indian Restaurants but this has immediately become one of my favourites. We had a convo last night about how a good vegetarian restaurant barely needs to mention it’s vegetarian. It’s good regardless and this is such a case. Put it toe to toe with a meaty curry and it’s still probably coming out on top. The chutneys are the best I’ve ever had too, you NEED the papad.

A not to be missed authentic, ethnic restaurant serving 100% vegetarian food with many vegan and gluten free options. What are you waiting for? I see your mouth watering... Book a table!!
